Accommodations and Meals

Our retreat center offers a range of housing options to suit your needs.

The beautiful retreat center we’ve selected is in Rockland County, NY. It’s about 45 minutes from Westchester County airport (HPN), 1 to 1.5 hours from LaGuardia and JFK, 2 hours from Hartford, CT and 3.5 hours from Boston. We’ll have more information about transportation options, and will help to arrange carpools.

LODGE ROOMS: Each bedroom has one or two beds, a sink, closet and a desk or table. Many rooms have a queen and a twin bed; some have one double bed or two twins. Lodge rooms can be reserved as singles or doubles. You’ll let us know if you have a roommate choice, or if you want to be assigned to share the room with someone who will become a new lifelong friend. There are dedicated private individual bathrooms and individual shower rooms right across a small hallway — 3 bathrooms and 3 showers for every 6 rooms. There are shared refrigerators and microwaves in each lodge. There are central lounge spaces with good wifi that extends into most rooms.

ESTATE ROOMS: These rooms are in the original Victorian estate house on the property. They are uniquely decorated in mid-1800s style with en suite private bathrooms. There is a limited number of theses rooms. They are a mix of queen and twin, double and twin, and two-twin bed rooms. Estate rooms can be reserved as singles and doubles. The three-floor house has an elevator, and is fully wheelchair accessible. There are two ADA compliant rooms. There is a coffee/tea station, refrigerator and microwave on the ground floor and a refrigerator on the third floor, and good wifi throughout.

MEALS: Our meals will be feature delicious scratch-made vegetarian and vegan dishes, with fish options, kosher chicken for Shabbat dinner, and one meal including kosher beef. The retreat center does not have a kosher kitchen. No pork or shellfish will be served. There will be gluten-free and dairy-free options. If you have other requirements, we will communicate with you after initial registration to help ensure that the kitchen can do its best to accommodate your needs.

There will also be daily snacks — some healthy, some salty and sweet. We’ll have wine and grape juice for kiddush. If you want wine with Shabbat dinner, BYOB.

All of the rooms are within easy walking distance of the main building, where meals and many prayer services, programs, and classes will be held. Some programs may be held in spaces in the Lodge and Estate buildings. If you have mobility concerns, please let us know.

NOTE: Out of an abundance of caution for the security of our participants, we’ll share the exact location after registration. If you need more information before registering, please contact us.
