Accommodations and Meals

Our retreat center offers a range of welcoming housing options to suit your needs.

The beautiful retreat center we’ve selected is in Rockland County, NY. It’s about 45 minutes from Westchester County Airport (HPN), 1–1.5 hours from LaGuardia and JFK, 2 hours from Hartford, CT, and about 3.5 hours from Boston. We’ll share more information about transportation options and help coordinate carpools.

Our accommodations are simple, comfortable, and designed to support both rest and connection.

LODGE ROOMS

Each bedroom has one or two beds, a sink, closet and a desk or table. Many rooms have a queen and a twin bed; some have one double bed or two twins.

Lodge rooms can be reserved as singles or doubles. You’ll let us know if you have a roommate preference, or if you’d like to be paired with someone who may become a lifelong friend.

There are dedicated private bathrooms and shower rooms just steps away across a small hallway—three bathrooms and three showers for every six rooms.

There are shared refrigerators and microwaves in each lodge. There are central lounge spaces with good Wi-Fi, which extends into most rooms.

ESTATE ROOMS

These rooms are in the original Victorian estate house on the property. They are uniquely decorated in a mid-1800s style with en suite private bathrooms. There are a limited number of these rooms.

They are a mix of queen and twin, double and twin, and two-twin bed rooms. Estate rooms can be reserved as singles or doubles.

The three-floor house has an elevator and is fully wheelchair accessible, with two ADA compliant rooms.

There is a coffee/tea station, refrigerator and microwave on the ground floor and a refrigerator on the third floor, and good Wi-Fi throughout.

MEALS

Our meals feature delicious, scratch-made vegetarian and vegan dishes, with fish options, kosher chicken for Shabbat dinner, and at least one meal featuring kosher beef. The retreat center does not have a kosher kitchen, but they never serve pork or shellfish.

Gluten-free and dairy-free options are always available.

If you keep kosher or have additional dietary needs, we will work with you to help ensure that you are well fed, including arranging sealed kosher meals or similar accommodations as needed.

We will follow up with you before the retreat to make sure we understand your dietary requirements.

There will also be daily snacks—some healthy, some salty and sweet. We’ll have wine and grape juice for kiddush. If you want wine with Shabbat dinner, BYOB. Read more in our FAQs.

All of the rooms are within easy walking distance of the main building, where meals and many prayer services, programs, and classes will be held. Some programs may be held in spaces in the Lodge and Estate buildings. If you have mobility concerns, please let us know.

NOTE Out of an abundance of caution for the security of our participants, we’ll share the exact location after registration. If you need more information before registering, please contact us.
